چکیده

Cucurbit[7[uril, the wheel component in two new and structurally simple pseudorotaxanes, shuttles between the two axle termini at low pH, whereas the shuttling motion stops at higher pH, as the wheel is bound to the center of the axle.

Mechanized silica nanoparticles based on reversible bistable [2]pseudorotaxanes as supramolecular nanovalves for multistage pH-controlled release.

Cucurbit[6]uril-based reversible bistable [2]pseudorotaxanes were designed, synthesized and installed on the surface of mesoporous silica nanoparticles as supramolecular nanovalves. The assembled mechanized silica nanoparticles realize the multistage pH-controlled release of benzotriazole and the potential for reutilization.

Supramolecular Assemblies Constructed by Cucurbituril- Catalyzed Click Reaction

Efficient synthesis of novel materials with defined functions and properties, as well as the construction of nanometer-scale devices and machines, are highly desirable for many applications in nanotechnology, energy, and health care. To this end, supramolecular assemblies that can be constructed through non-covalent interactions, molecular recognition, and host–guest chemistry are very appealin...

Defection-selective solubilization and chemically-responsive solubility switching of single-walled carbon nanotubes with cucurbit[7]uril.

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were suspended in aqueous media with cucurbit[7]uril (CB7), while SWCNTs were insoluble with cucurbit[5]uril (CB5). Moreover, defection-selective solubilization of SWCNTs with CB7 was demonstrated.

Pronounced pH effects on the kinetics of cucurbit[7]uril-based pseudorotaxane formation and dissociation.

Deprotonation of the two terminal COOH groups on a 4,4'-bipyridinium linear derivative leads to a pronounced slow down on the kinetics of threading and unthreading by the cucurbit[7]uril host.

Cyclodextrin-driven movement of cucurbit[7]uril.

The movement of cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) driven by alpha-cyclodextrin (alpha-CD) is investigated by various experimental techniques including NMR, ESI-MS, UV-vis, and ITC. CB[7] can form stable pseudorotaxanes with N-methyl-N'-octyl-4,4'-bipyridinium (MVO2+) and N,N'-dioctyl-4,4'-bipyridinium (OV2+) dication in aqueous solution. CB[7] shuttles between the octyl and bipyridinium moieties in MVO2+...
